The site demanded a high-clearance architectural shade solution capable of covering a large outdoor area without obstructing sightlines with intermediate vertical posts. The canopy needed to provide effective solar heat reduction during summer while withstanding intense monsoon wind uplift forces.

Material & Engineering Specification
Heavy-duty architectural PVDF-coated tensile membrane with high tear strength and UV-lacquer finish, supported by high-grade structural steel masts and Grade-316 stainless steel cable rigging turnbuckles.
The double-curvature hyperbolic paraboloid geometry was generated through parametric 3D form-finding software to guarantee uniform pre-tension distribution and prevent rainwater ponding during heavy Punjab downpours.

Reinforced concrete pad footings cast with precision-aligned high-tensile anchor bolts
Steel masts hoisted into place using mobile cranes and secured to foundation baseplates
High-strength perimeter boundary cables threaded through reinforced membrane pockets
Gradual multi-point hydraulic tensioning to achieve specified structural membrane stress

Working within a restricted site footprint with nearby existing buildings required off-site modular fabrication in our Lahore workshop, allowing rapid crane assembly and zero hot-work welding near finished facades.
