01 / SITE REQUIREMENT

Client & Site Challenge

The site demanded a high-clearance architectural shade solution capable of covering a large outdoor area without obstructing sightlines with intermediate vertical posts. The canopy needed to provide effective solar heat reduction during summer while withstanding intense monsoon wind uplift forces.

03 / MATERIAL & STRUCTURAL SOLUTION

Material & Engineering Specification

Heavy-duty architectural PVDF-coated tensile membrane with high tear strength and UV-lacquer finish, supported by high-grade structural steel masts and Grade-316 stainless steel cable rigging turnbuckles.

The double-curvature hyperbolic paraboloid geometry was generated through parametric 3D form-finding software to guarantee uniform pre-tension distribution and prevent rainwater ponding during heavy Punjab downpours.
